Our Story

The owner and chef of Island Fish Head Alvin Morris started a catering food service in his backyard in Queens, New York on March 15th, 2013 as a means to provide for his family during a shift in his financial situation.

“Providing delicious authentic Caribbean food for my friends and coworkers at a reasonable cost was always my dream” - Chef Morris

In April 2020, Morris relocated to Hartford Connecticut. Following his passion for cooking, in June 2020, he opened his first Jamaican restaurant during the peak of the COVID pandemic.  

Island Fish Head offers a variety of dishes from pork, chicken, oxtail, goat and seafood specials at great prices. Most of the seafood dishes are made to order such as (Shrimp, Rasta Pasta, seafood boils and fish). Our meals are bursting with homemade flavors from the Caribbean!
